Peer Review

Already, the project team has sought the input of a peer review panel to guide the team in its ridership demand forecasting. The peer review panel is a group of leading experts with overlapping expertise in all the relevant areas of Baltimore-Washington Maglev ridership and revenue forecasting including high-speed rail demand modeling, transportation analysis, economics, finance, project evaluation, investment banking, statistics, and highway traffic analysis.

Members of the Peer Review committee include senior representatives from the Metropolitan Planning Organizations, consultant forecasters, academic modelers and financial advisers. The committee will critique and make recommendations on the reasonableness of the demand forecasting approach and process used by the project team's ridership consultants to enhance and lend further credibility to ridership and revenue potential for the Baltimore-Washington Maglev Service.
